创作背景
2006年嘎嘎小姐认识了音乐制作人罗布·弗萨里并与其开始合作 。2008年嘎嘎小姐来到洛杉矶开始致力于专辑《The Fame》的创作。当时嘎嘎与罗布·弗萨里写了若干首歌曲《Paparazzi》就是其中一首 。对于歌曲的主题嘎嘎给出了两种的解释：一是平衡名誉与爱情之间的关系；二是吸引狗仔队来关注自己 。
歌曲的监制由文森特·赫伯特担任制作人是罗布·弗萨里罗伯特·奥顿负责混音工作嘎嘎小姐包揽了钢琴、合成器等工作同时她也加入了歌曲制作加尔文·盖恩斯负责歌曲编辑。单曲的封面由艾琳·席尔瓦设计、Meeno Peluce拍摄。歌曲的录制在位于新泽西州帕西帕尼市的150录音室完成
