游山西村

莫笑农家腊酒浑，
Don’t laugh at the muddy wine brewed by farmers in the 12th lunar month
丰年留客足鸡豚。
Guests are entertained with enough chicken and pork in a bumper year
山重水复疑无路，
Across multiple hills and winding brooks, I doubt if there’s a path to go
柳暗花明又一村。
Suddenly another village appears amid clustering willows and bright blossoms
箫鼓追随春社近，
Villagers play the vertical flute and beat the drum when Spring Sacrifice Day nears
衣冠简朴古风存。
Dressed simply, they still maintain the ancient custom
从今若许闲乘月，
If I have free time to travel in the moonlight in the future
拄杖无时夜叩门。
I will come leaning on my walking stick, knocking at your door
【白话译文】
莫笑农家腊月酿的酒是浑浊的
丰收年村民们以丰盛的菜肴待客
山峦重叠溪水蜿蜒，我正担心无路可走
一个山村出现在茂密柳林明艳花丛中
春社日临近，村民们吹箫打鼓
他们衣冠简朴，淳朴的古代风俗犹存
若是今后有闲暇趁月色游逛
我会拄着拐杖随时来敲你的家门
【注释】
1）腊酒：腊月里酿造的酒。
2）足鸡豚（tún）：准备了丰盛的菜肴。足：丰盛。豚，小猪，代指猪肉。
3）山重水复：山峦重叠水流曲折。
4）柳暗花明：柳色深绿，花色明艳。
5）箫鼓：吹箫打鼓。
6）春社：古代把立春后第五个戊日做为春社日，拜祭社神（土地神）和谷神，祈求丰收。
7）古风存：淳朴的古代风俗犹存。
8）若许：如果这样。
9）闲乘月：空闲时趁着月光旅行。
10）无时：不确定的时候。
11）叩门：敲门，登门拜访。
